During the summer break of my sophomore year in 1980, I got my first job @ Superior Electrical Advertising, in Long Beach, CA, which is a very large Regional Sign Company. I made enough money to buy my first car, a 1970 Dodge Challenger. I was very proud and also loved it so much that the next summer after my junior year, I went back to the exact same job, I mostly leaned how to work in the shop by starting where everyone does, trim cap, then learned to make letters by hand, learned to weld, & how to paint signs.

When I graduated from High School, I went back and got hired on full time. The next 5 or so years I mainly worked in the field installing signs & some service too. After a few years I started a family and bought my first home. It was out in the IE because I couldn't afford to buy one around there, so I moved to another company called AD ART in Walnut, CA right on the 60 freeway and became a member of the IBEW Union. Another 5 years went by and they ended up closing that plant That's when I met Mr Charlie Alemi, who had recently purchased Coast Sign, in Anaheim.

I ended up working for Charlie @ Coast Sign for the next 26 years, & have worked in / or Managed all departments. from MFG, Install, Service, Art, Engineering, Project Management, Estimating & Sales. I even managed to go to college and earned a degree.

I have realized that no matter how experienced you are, you will still never know it all. I am grateful that I have learned a little something along the way & I vow to keep learning.
