Self Employed Designer

I have been a professional designer for 20+ years, with a big part of that in the sign industry. For over 10 years I did a lot of the art and production drawings for a Houston based sign company until they were sold and everything was moved in-house.

I owned a vinyl graphics shop in Dallas for a few years and did all of the graphics production for a large exhibit house, and a big part of that was redrawing (or digitizing artwork from client provided files).

My experience is pretty varied in the sign business (simple vinyl design to production drawings for CL's, monument and pylon signs) as well as web, print, and hand drawn art.

I am posting this hoping that existing sign companies in need of help with design/art and production drawings will get in touch to discuss the possibilities. I have been doing this a long time and understand the importance of good communication and meeting deadlines. I can work by the project or if you have a large enough flow of work we can discuss retainer.

Please see some of my work and background info at and feel free to contact me anytime. I can also provide sign specific examples and references upon request.

Update: I am staying very busy with several great companies, but have recently been considering the possibilities of full-time employment. Will consider all opportunities with the right company, but preferably somewhere in the north.
