Business for Sale Virginia
I am selling my sign company two different ways.
#1. Sell 100% of it and stay on as general manager and run it. I know every aspect of the business and can run every single area of it. Salary is flexible. I am willing to get welding certified and also a CDL if we move up to a larger bucket truck. I hold a Class B BSC contractors license.
#2. Just sell it all without staying on. I prefer option #1
Reason for selling: My wife and I are ready to start a family and purchase a home. I often work 7 days a week to catch up, we never get a vacation, I have extreme stress from the back end management of the business (taxes, payroll, IRS, state taxes, licensing, etc). I want to become an employee and do what I love, making signs. We do $10k, $20k, $30k signs and I don't have access to capital for materials, supplies, etc to keep doing them. If we have two going at once, it drains the bank account until they are completed and I get the final payment.
Specs: Doing $250,000 in sales, rent is $2,400 for 3,500 sq. ft. I own a 42' bucket truck with 6,000 watt inverter, backup camera, brand new welded loops and rack, etc. A service van (Chevy express 3500), A company car (Kia Spectra) and an 18ft trailer. I have two Roland printers (54" Print/Cut and 64" Print only) and 1 Roland Plotter (GX-24). Total value of my FF&E and vehicles is $117,000. Too many things to list.
Types of Signage we do: We do about 40% printing/fabrication and 60% installation. We do Pylon signs, monument signs, electrical signs, post & panel, wayfinding, ADA signs, blade signs, etc. We dig our own footers, building our own rebar cages, pour the concrete, set the poles, mount the signs, hook up the electrical, everything. We do retrofits, repairs, servicing, installation, removal, etc. We use excavators, cranes, scissor lifts, man lifts, shooting boom fork lifts, etc. We work with large national accounts.
