Vehicle Wrap of the Day: Chazzzam Gets in Spirit for Burning Man

“Transformation” destined for free-expression festival

The Burning Man Festival, which takes place every August in the Nevada desert, combines art, music and a general attitude of self-reliance and self-expression. One couple devoted to the Festival hired Chazzzam Signs & Graphics (Bellingham, WA) to create a trailer wrap for them to travel with to the show.

“It required some persuasion to get them to trust the that the design on paper would translate into a wrap design, but the result was one of the most visually stimulating graphics we’ve ever produced,” Chazzzam’s Jerry Spraggins said.

The shop created the wrap with 3M’s Envision 480CV3 air-release media, which was printed on a HP 260 latex-ink printer. He said the customer wanted a more eco-friendly printing option, and preferred this printer-and-ink combination. Envision 8548 glossy overlaminate, applied on a Royal Sovereign laminator, will keep the graphics resilient for several Burning Man confabs.

Chazzzam installed the wrap with Geek Wraps soft-edge felt squeegee, 3M Fineline tape and heat guns.
