Steve Aust Signs of the Times August 2010 Issue

People might think of Idaho as potatoes, big sky and laconic lifestyles. Allow Jeremy, founder of Coeur d’Alene-based IMGX Kreativ, to throw a can of whoop…well, whooping on that notion. He said, ‘I don’t want to be categorized as a designer. I’m creating a new title for myself: Art Monster.”

To back up his title, he created a hand-rendered illustration “in my spare time,” which he perfected with some Photoshop texturing and text layout. His result? A beady-eyed, fanged, snarling green monster that clutches fellow motorists or pedestrians like a predator does it prey.

Deming printed the wrap on the shop’s Seiko 64 solvent-ink, six-color printer with 3M Controltac with Comply v3 air-release technology.
