A massive Daktronics (Brookings, SD) screen, and others, helped the Texas Rangers and their fans celebrate winning the American League Championship Series to earn a World Series appearance. To help fans enjoy the success they had awaited for four decades, GoVision, Daktronics rental partner and supplier of turnkey, mobile, LED units and modular LED walls, provided a 19 x 33-ft. “GoBigger” unit, with Daktronics HD-16 LED video technology, to a fan-appreciation rally just days after losing the 2010 World Series to the San Francisco Giants. The company also brought its 9 x16-ft. GoBig and 9 x 12-ft. GoTron units, to make sure every fan had a front-row-worthy view of the celebration.
“Like everyone else across North Texas, we were riveted by the Rangers’ postseason run, and absolutely thrilled to watch them compete in their first World Series,” said Chris Curtis, CEO of Argyle, TX-based GoVision.
During the series, one of GoVision’s “GoBig” units was leased to CBS Radio for a game-watching party at J. Gilligan’s Bar & Grill in Arlington, TX.
