Océ (Trumbull, CT) has announced several substrates designed for use with solvent- and UV-cure-ink inkjet printers. All are available with glossy or matte finishes. Offerings include:
• SCRMGO10 and SCRMMO1010-oz., frontlit, scrim material designed for window displays, construction-site banners and tradeshow displays, among other applications. The substrates contain a blockout layer, and reportedly offer superb dot control. It’s sold in widths from 38 to 84 in.;
• SCRMGO13 and SCRMMO13 13-oz., laminated, scrim vinyl, available in 38- to 126-in. widths and designed for general -purpose banners that require high-tear resistance;
• PSOCVPAG and PSOCVPAM calendered vinyls that offer a broad color gamut and permanent, solvent-based, acrylic, pressure-sensitive adhesive. The company recommends the material for outdoor graphics that require a minimum vertical lifespan of three years.
