Mimaki Introduces its UJV55-320 Super-Wide-Format, UV-LED Printer

Mimaki USA (Suwanee, GA) is announcing its UJV55-320 super-wide-format UV-LED printer, a 128-inch roll-to-roll machine that features seven ink colors, including white, for printing on transparent or colored media. Mimaki says the UJV55-320 consistently produces vibrant colors with opacity that’s suitable for both day and night applications. In addition, it’s equipped with an LED light for checking backlit signage during printing, which gives you the ability to verify density during the print process. The UJV55-320 also features Instant-cure, UV ink and will print two, 60-in.-wide rolls simultaneously. It is network ready, prints at speeds up to 1,184 sq. ft./hr., and applies Mimaki’s LUS-120 UV-LED inks (CMYK, LcLm + White) that are flexible and scratch resistant. The UJV55-320 also features variable-dot printing that produces smoother gradients and quartertones, as well as Mimaki’s Advance Pass System 4 (MAPS4) that reduces banding and produces smoother images, the Mimaki Circulation Technology (MCT) for white ink circulation, and the company’s Nozzle Check Unit (NCU) that automatically detects and recovers clogged nozzles.
