Neon artist Michael Flechtner (who designed the "Celebrate!" neon stamp for the U.S. Post Office) will present a 25-piece exhibit of his neon art from September 5 through October 10 in his home town of Tiffin, OH at Tiffin University’s Diane Kidd Gallery in the Hayes Center for the Arts. Entitled "Prodigal Son," the exhibit will be open to the public and visited by numerous schools.
Flechtner is looking for sponsorships to help defray estimated costs of $7,000 for shipping the pieces from Van Nuys, CA to Tiffin, along with associated expenses. Tax-deductible donations may be made to the “Tiffin University Annual Fund” with a note on the memo line “Flechtner/Prodigal Son”. These may be sent to: Jason Griffin, Development, Tiffin University, 155 Miami St., Tiffin, OH 44883. Flechtner may be contacted at Flektro@aol.com.
