Jessup Introduces Glo Brite® Ec? Exit Signs

Published

on

Jessup Manufacturing Co. (McHenry, IL), a manufacturer of photoluminescent safety products, is premiering the Glo Brite® Ec? ExitTM PM100 sign that’s approved for outdoor and wet applications. The exit sign is suitable for floor-proximity installation, outdoor spaces or wet conditions, such as outdoor corridors or packing plants. The sign is visible for 100 ft., making it ideal for warehouses, manufacturing plants and big-box retailers.
The signs’ photoluminescent technology absorbs and stores ambient light. During an emergency blackout or smoky conditions, the stored energy lights the sign, reducing the risk of panic or injury.
Single- or double-sided signs with multiple mounting options, including standard brackets, are available. The Glo Brite® Ec? Exit PM100 signs, which are LEED points qualified, contain no radioactive materials, and they help reduce cooling and emergency-generator loads. No electrical wiring or battery backup is needed. The UL924-listed signs are movable if egress paths change.
The company says a building with 100 photoluminescent signs will save more than $3,500 a year in energy costs and reduce air pollution by almost a half a million pounds of carbon dioxide, compared with incandescent signs over the life of the product.
Jessup, established in 1956, is a global manufacturer and supplier of pressure-sensitive films, photoluminescent films and non-slip technology. The company’s products are used in the building, transportation, printing and action sports markets.
