Inca Digital Printers Ltd. (Cambridge, UK) is releasing the Inca Onset S40 wide-format UV printer to expand its Onset line. The printer, positioned between the Inca Onset and Onset S20, is approximately 50% faster than the S20.

The newest model has many of the Onset S20’s improvements – smaller size, varying levels of gloss finish and 4-6 ink colors (light cyan and light magenta, but not white) – with a lower throughput speed. The Onset S40 prints images at 600 to 1,000 dpi with 168 user-replaceable printheads and a 27-picoliter ink-drop size.
