Halco Lighting Introduces Electronic Sign Ballasts

ProLume electronic sign ballasts replace its magnetic sign ballasts.

Halco Lighting Technologies® (Norcross, GA) has added ProLume® electronic sign ballasts to replace its magnetic sign ballasts. Four ballast models operate one to six lamps from 2 to 48 total ft. The lightweight ballasts, which facilitate installation and minimize maintenance, consume 25 to 40% less energy and operate cooler and quieter than magnetic sign ballasts, the company reports.
With an input voltage range of 120- to 277V, the ballasts can address more applications with fewer SKUs. The parallel-lamp operation ensures that if a lamp fails, the remaining lamps will continue operating to maintain illumination. These instant-start ballasts provide reliable starting in temperatures as low as -20° F. The UL-listed ballasts are backed by a three-year warranty.
