Delcam ArtCAM Pro CAD/CAM Software Upgrades

New version allows interactive distortion modeling, easier vector-art creation

Delcam (Windsor, ON, Canada) is introducing an updated version of ArtCAM Pro CADCAM software, which is designed for 3-D signmaking. The program uses interactive distortion modeling, which, according to the company, allows users to distort vector or relief art by bending and stretching the design. Delcam states the software is designed for skilled artisans, and requires little knowledge of engineering or computing. When an element has been finalized, it may be moved, rotated, rescaled and copied, and any design facet may be edited and recombined into a group. Also, new snapping options make vector-art creation easier, the company reports.
