Katherine’s design artfully depicts the air of mystery that shrouds mermaids; this beauty of the deep appears equally alluring and pensive – and given her seat atop skulls, perhaps plotting. She said, “This project was a ton of fun from the day we met the Keeners. They had a clear vision of what they wanted.” She completed the design using a Bad Wrap design template and Adobe Creative Suite 6 software.
The shop printed the wrap with Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions’ Supercast MPI 1005 Easy Apply RS air-release media on an HP DesignJet L26500 latex-ink printer. The wrap’s purple will remain resplendent thanks to the application of Avery’s DOL 1360 glossy overlaminate using a Kala Mistral pressure laminator.
“Wicked” Wade Becher and Ng installed the wrap using Knifeless Tech System’s knife-free, cutting-filament tape, Geek Wraps felt squeegees and propane torches.

Jet Renu

Managers of Jet Renu’s — which offers watercraft aftermarket and detailing products – competitive-jetski-racing team ordered some vivid, aquatically themed graphics. Using Samonte’s design, Gatorwraps produced the graphics with 3M Controltac with Comply air-release media on the shop’s Mutoh ValueJet 1614 solvent-ink printer. Because of the graphics’ short-term use, lamination wasn’t incorporated for the job.

This 30-ft.-long speedboat comprises part of Gatorwraps’ fleet, which also includes a 2015 Silverado truck, tractor-trailer and Polaris RZR 1000 off-road vehicle. Webb designed the chrome-and-emerald-green motif – with an ominous-looking gator head rising above the water – using Adobe Creative Suite software. The shop decorated Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions’ chrome-finish film on a Mutoh ValueJet 1614 solvent-ink printer.
