The “Jet Bus” features an onboard DJ who plays tunes while transporting guests. Naturally, Kruse wanted a futuristic look for his bus. The design simulates a scrolling electronic display (DOT codes probably would’ve made a real one problematic), and a hashtag instantly boosts connections with millennials. Under Tolbert’s direction, Ryan crafted the design with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and the shop executed the job with the Avery MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS air-release media that’s printed on a Roland DGA SolJet Pro 4 XR-640 solvent-ink printer with metallic inks. To keep #ThatBus jamming, Awthentik applied Avery Dennison’s DOL 1060 glossy topcoat on a Pro Lam pressure laminator, which it purchased from Advance Color Solutions. Chislock and Tolbert used Geek Wraps soft-edged Teflon® squeegees to apply the graphics.

Customers often request extremely tight turnaround times; however, Metro Wrapz, Metro Signs’ vehicle-wrap division, performed yeomen’s work as four installers completed this wrap in two days for the Pants Saggin’ Tour, which was sponsored by PSD, a manufacturer of urban-style apparel. After having completed the design using Adobe’s Creative Cloud, the shop printed the wrap with 3M’s Controltac™ IJ180Cv3-10 air-release media, which it decorated on its Mutoh ValueJet 1624 solvent-ink printer. To keep the multicolored extravaganza shining on the road, Metro Wrapz applied 3M Scotchcal 8518 glossy overlaminate with its Seal Image 62 Plus laminator. The installers completed the job with Geek Wraps soft-edged squeegees.

The subtle way this wrap incorporates the muscle-car image to portray the coach as a racecar-transport trailer made an impression. Wheat designed the old-school graphics with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and the shop printed them with Avery Dennison’s MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS on its HP DesignJet L26500 latex-ink printer. Wheat designed the metallic effects using textures and gradients with Adobe Photoshop. Applied with a Seal Ultra laminator, Avery Dennison DOL 1380 matte-finish overlaminate protects the printed graphics.
