Just as food trucks burst on the vehicle-wrap scene a few years ago, vehicles that promote electronic-cigarette outlets are likely to mushroom in the near future (especially if they continue to enjoy largely unregulated status). Absolute Perfection’s Chris Fong said, “The client envisioned a design that embodied the feeling you get when you come to Fells Point.” Using Adobe Photoshop® and Illustrator® software, Antol created a design that incorporates Baltimore pride with Raven purple and Oriole orange, rustic brick and wood to replicate the in-store experience, and the cleverly fashioned e-cigs simulate a hotrod’s exhaust system.
The shop produced the 346 sq. ft. of graphics on an HP DesignJet L26500 latex-ink printer with 3M Controltac with Comply air-release film, cut the graphics on a Graphtec FC-8000 cutting plotter, applied a protective topcoat using a Seal 54-in. laminator with 3M Scotchcal 8518 luster-finish overlaminate, and installed the graphics with 3M Gold squeegees, heat guns and torches.

Gas Monkey Garage
Gas Monkey Garage has gained considerable fame (or notoriety) for its vehicle-customization work on the Discovery Channel show, Fast and Loud. Now, its owner, Richard Rawlings, has branched out, and opened a bar and grill that offers a namesake cinnamon tequila with the aim of spreading its brand beyond hardcore gearheads.
360 Wraps decorated Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions’ MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS film on the shop’s HP 360 latex-ink printer. Using an Enduralam laminator, the shop applied a protectant layer with Avery’s DOL 1360 glossy overlaminates. Heat guns and 3M Gold nylon squeegees were the final tools in executing the project.

Pulse Beauty Academy

This brilliantly crafted, throwback wrap, which decorates a l1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe, creates an air of edginess that mixes with elegance and sensuality – perfect for a school of cosmetology.
Dan designed the program using Adobe software, and the shop created the graphics on its Mimaki JV-3 solvent-ink printer on 3M Controltac with Comply air-release film. 3M Scotchcal 8518 glossy laminate was applied using a Prisco GFP 563TH heat-assist laminator. Mark secured the wrap using MACtac felt and Lidco Golden rigid squeegees, and Milwaukee Tool variable-temperature heat guns.
