3M (St. Paul, MN) is introducing the 3M LED High-Efficiency Lighting Panel (HELP), a backlit-sign solution that directly inserts into sign cabinet. The edgelit panel with proprietary, light-management film delivers bright light that’s uniformly distributed behind a sign face, the company states. At 1.125 in. thick and approximately a half pound per sq. ft., the panel’s slim profile allows for optimal brightness without hot spots. The drop-in-place solution facilitates installations and retrofits.
