Takeaways from the BC Sign & Graphics Show in Vancouver.

We visited Vancouver, BC, Canada recently for the BC Sign & Graphics Show. Aside from the spate of kids who showed up on Saturday, we noted some serious conversations happening at franchise booths. And if you’re a solo signmaker looking to compare printers – or just figure out what would fit in the garage – we’d recommend using distributors as a resource.

One intriguing session was led by 3M’s Andy Stilin, who shared 2018 design trends: woods paired with soft finishes (think soft grays and pops of color that don’t take away from the beauty of the finish); rustic industrial (think raw woods and leather paired with concrete or sheet metal); and “elegantly” aged woods that are gently distressed.
