Roland DGA Announces LV Series Laser Engravers

Two models allow customers to choose based on substrate thickness.

Roland DGA Corp. (Irvine, CA) has announced the launch of its new LV series laser engraving machines.

Per the company, advanced and easy to operate, the multi-purpose LV series employs state-of-the-art CO2 laser technology to cut-out, engrave or mark on hundreds of different materials with incredible ease and accuracy. Two different models are available – the 30W LV-180 with its 20.4 x 14.7-in. table and the 40W LV-290 with its 31 x 20.9-in. table – allowing users to choose the machine that best suits the size and thickness of the materials they will be working with.

Both LV devices use a non-contact CO2 laser to engrave complex shapes and text with crisp edges out of plastics, wood, leather, paper, cork and more. According to a statement released by Roland DGA, Unlike conventional digital engravers, the LV cuts surfaces smoothly and cleanly without burrs, thus eliminating the need for any final touch-up work. With the LV, there are no engraving cutters to break or wear out – the laser always delivers a beautiful finish with no degradation in quality.
