Entertainment and streaming giant Netflix turned heads with a unique billboard campaign that originally seemed like a competitor firing the first shots in an outdoor advertising war. Billboards reading “NETFLIX IS A JOKE” have popped up in various locations in Los Angeles and New York, but The Hollywood Reporter discovered that the campaign was an “inside job” developed to promote Netflix’s investment in comedy specials that include popular jokesters Dave Chappelle, Louis C.K., Chris Rock, Amy Schumer, Jerry Seinfeld and Sarah Silverman.
