ISA Celebrates 75th Anniversary

Published

on

The International Sign Association (ISA; Fairfax, VA) marked its 75th anniversary on Jan. 10, 2019. The association invites everyone to see how far the sign, graphics and visual communications industry has come at the ISA International Sign Expo 2019, to be held April 24-26 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Founded in 1944 under the direction of Executive Secretary Maury Ely in Chicago, ISA will mark this significant anniversary with future-focused projects that anticipate technology changes to the industry. ISA’s programs – including ISA Sign Manufacturing Day, which promotes the industry to students, and ISA Elite, which brings next-generation industry leaders together – are tailored to address pressing needs like recruiting and retaining workers.

ISA reaches out to key influencers like architects, designers and chambers of commerce to help understand the role signs play in building dynamic communities. Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO said, “Our founders would be amazed at how far our industry has come and the ways that technology improvements continue to build upon signs’ importance to our customers.”
