King Plastic Corp. (North Port, FL) announced its 50th anniversary in business. Tom King founded the family enterprise, which began in a 7,500-sq.-ft. building located on three acres in Venice, FL.

A half century later, King Plastic Corporation has developed several polymer products and now manufactures over 20 product brands and commodities for a variety of industries to customers who distribute and fabricate products for the marine industry, signage, food service, healthcare, architectural, industrial and other markets. The company pioneered the first marine-grade polymer sheet, King StarBoard®, which remains the dominant brand in the marine industry today.
